You could undertake as part of this customer service traineeship but are not restricted to, customer service, stock rotation, cash handling, IT, research, general administration, helping staff who deal with, fundraising marketing, and there may be call for our administrative volunteers to be involved in certain aspects of the running of our charity shop.
While the reasons people give their time to us are numerous, we know that working with us can help to develop new skills, and offer valuable experience of working in a busy retail environment. For that reason we’re pleased to give people the chance to take part in periods of work experience with us.
In our retail locations you will gain valuable work experience in a wide range of roles.
You will meet people; make new friends; learn new skills or use your existing skills in a different setting.
You will receive a full induction programme and further training in specific roles. Once you have completed your placement you will receive a reference and the opportunity to stay with us as a BHF volunteer.
Every pound we raise in our shops makes a massive difference to people’s lives. While you are gaining work experience with us, you are also helping us to make a big difference in your local community.
Hours will be agreed at interview, total work experience hours will be 236 over the 14 week programme.
