Customer Service

Are you interested in a career in Customer Service? Our Customer Service Apprenticeship offers the opportunity to work in exciting customer-facing and interactive roles as well as equipping you with vital skills, knowledge and understanding required to provide a quality service. The skills you will gain will be transferable across sectors and can be applied to many job roles and will support you in becoming a vital member of any team. You will be working and earning a wage whilst completing your qualification and receiving both on and off the job training.
Due to the varied nature of the customer service industry there are many job roles that apply to customer service intermediate apprentices. These will include job roles which are dedicated to customer service such as Customer Service Trainee, Customer Service Assistant, Customer Service Advisor, Customer Service Representative and Customer Service Agent. At the advanced apprenticeship level, dedicated customer service job roles will include Customer Relationship Manager, Customer Support Officer, Customer Service Team Leader, Customer Service Supervisory and Customer Service Co-ordinator.

 

LEVELS OFFERED:

• Level 2 – Intermediate
• Level 3 – Advanced

 

DURATION:

A level 2 Apprenticeship in Customer Service lasts 12 months
A level 3 Apprenticeship in Customer Service lasts 18 months

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Level 2 – No formal entry requirements. Basic numeracy, literacy and IT skills and a keen interest in providing excellent customer service.
Level 3 – GCSE grade 4 (C) or above in maths & English or equivalent is desirable but not essential. A desire to work in a customer facing environment and progress a career in this area.

 

DELIVERY METHOD:

• College attendance for approximately 25 weeks or until all exams, workbooks and functional skills are complete.
• One to one meetings with an assessor in the workplace.
• Functional skills (if required) will be delivered as extra hours on their college day

 

POSSIBLE CAREERS/PROGRESSION ROUTES

Upon completion of your Apprenticeship, you may wish to progress from Level 2 to Level 3 – or a career as:
• Customer Relationship Manager
• Customer Service Advisor/ Co-ordinator/ Team Leader
• Receptionist
• Personal Assistant
• Sales Executive
