AAT Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting

The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) is the most highly regarded pre-chartered professional accountancy qualification in the country

The Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting is ideal for those who have completed the Level 2 Certificate or have significant bookkeeping experience.

  • What will be studied

    The course is designed around the AAT AQ2016 qualification with six units studied and examined, for learners to gain the full Level 3 Advanced Diploma all units need to be studied and successfully achieved. The units to be studied are:

    • Advanced Bookkeeping *
    • Final Accounts Preparation *
    • Management Accounting: Costing *
    • Indirect Tax *
    • Ethics for Accountants **
    • Spreadsheets for Accountants **

    The units* will be assessed as individual units and also within the units**. Please be aware that the units** will be on a specific date, details will be available prior to enrolment.

  • What qualifications will be gained?

    AAT Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting

  • How will this course be delivered?

    Lessons will be for seven hours a week on Wednesdays (9.30-4.30pm) and will be tutor led with examples and plenty of practice.  The course is over 34 weeks with four units covered to June 2018 and resumed in September 2018 for the two final units.

  • How will I be assessed?

    The qualification is assessed via a combination of external unit and synoptic computer based online exams. The synoptic exam that can only be sat on the exam board set date. This date to be advised at interview.

  • How to get a place?

    Apply on-line or contact Learner Services on 01562 512003. All learners are personally interviewed by one of the Accounting lecturers prior to enrolment to ensure they study the correct level of qualification.

  • Other Information:

    Text books are an additional cost. Learners are responsible for registration direct with the AAT. These fees are in addition to the tuition and exam fees.

    Initial AAT administration fee and AAT annual membership fee will be payable within three weeks of starting the course at a total cost of £135. For existing AAT students member’s subscription will be 12 months after initial enrolment at cost of £92.
