This course is designed for learners progressing from Level 1 Carpentry and Joinery and those who have decided to pursue a career as site carpenters. The course consists of both practical and theoretical elements required to work in the construction industry. Practical activities and assessment typically covers the fitting of stairs, kitchens, roofs, skirting, doors and frames, mouldings, flooring and ironmongery.

Achievement of L1 in carpentry & joinery
Carpentry and Joinery Level 3
City & Guilds Carpentry and Joinery Level 2.
3 days week, the course will be practical and classroom based classes, with tutorial, English and maths classes and work placement (we will help with this but the student has to obtain own work placement)
You will complete the units identified through formal assessment consisting of both on-line and paper based exams. All practical work will be assessed and graded by staff delivering the practical elements.
On-line application, followed by interview.
Safety footwear is required, we will supply additional PPE
Progress to Employment in the construction industry, gain an apprenticeship or progression to Level 3
