Complementary Therapies Level 2

This qualification will provide you with the knowledge, understanding and skills to pursue your first steps into complementary therapies.

This course will provide you with the skills to communicate, plan and deliver complementary therapies. You will learn how to interact with clients as well as planning and providing treatments that are safe and effective.

 

  • What will be studied

    You will gain a good understanding of the principles and practices of complementary therapies and will study a variety of modules including health, safety and hygiene, clinic services and business awareness, knowledge of anatomy & physiology, the provision of basic body massage, aromatherapy and reflexology and an introduction to healthy eating and wellbeing for the complementary therapy client.

  • What are the entry requirements?

    4 GCSE passes at grades 3 (formerly D) or above, including English and Maths or an equivalent qualification.

  • Where does this course lead to?

    On completion of the course you could continue on to the Level 3 course or gain entry into employment.

  • What qualifications will be gained?

    VTCT Level 2 Diploma in Complementary Therapies (QCF)

  • How will this course be delivered?

    Each practical treatment will be taught and demonstrated by the tutor, learners will practice on each other and then work on clients. You will complete a range of tasks including essays, individual research, group presentations and assessment papers.

  • How will I be assessed?

    Continuous practical work, assignments and written assessment papers per unit title. Work experience and functional skills or GCSEs in Maths and English are included on this programme.
