VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Complementary Therapies (QCF)

This qualification will provide you with the knowledge, understanding and skills to work competently as an advanced complementary therapist. You will learn how to interact with clients as well as planning and providing treatments that are safe and effective. You will gain a good understanding of the principles and practices of complementary therapies and consultation skills plus a variety of modules including business practice for complementary therapies, knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology and the provision of body massage, aromatherapy and reflexology.

  • What will be studied

    Throughout the qualification you will study a variety of modules including; • Principles and Practices for Complementary Therapies • Business Practice for Complementary Therapies • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology for Complementary Therapies • Provide Body massage for Complementary Therapies • Provide Aromatherapy for Complementary Therapies • Provide Reflexology for Complementary Therapies

  • What are the entry requirements?

    4 GCSE passes at grades C or above, including English and Maths or an equivalent qualification.

  • Where does this course lead to?

    This course will provide you with the skills to communicate, plan and deliver Complementary Therapies. You will learn how to interact with clients as well as planning and providing treatments that are safe and effective. You will gain a good understanding of principles and practices of Complementary Therapies and consultation skills plus; • Business practice • Anatomy, physiology and pathology • Body massage • Aromatherapy and reflexology

    Level 3 VRQ Diploma in Complementary Therapies

  • How will this course be delivered?

    Each practical treatment will be taught and demonstrated by the tutor; learners will practice on each other and then work on clients. You will complete a range of tasks including essays, individual research, group presentations and assessment papers.

  • How will I be assessed?

    Continuous practical, assignments and written assessment paper, per unit title. Work experience and functional skills or GCSE are Maths and English included on this programme.

  • How to get a place?
