Electrical Installation Level 2

The Level 2 Electrical Installation qualification is designed to develop a range of high level skills and a good knowledge of the electro-technical industry, which is an evolving, progressive area with a high demand for qualified and passionate people, with the skills and knowledge of the latest developments in this expanding industry.

The course helps the candidate to prepare to work safely within the electrical installation trade using modern tools and equipment, introducing basic electrical principles, installation and testing techniques and communication. You will have the opportunity to construct and test electrical circuits covering a range of domestic, commercial and light industrial installations. Work related experience activities will take place throughout the year

 

  • What will be studied

  • What are the entry requirements?

    To apply for a place on this popular course, you need to hold at least 4 GCSEs ideally including English Language and Maths at Grade 4 (formerly C) or above, and a positive school leaving reference is required. You should not have any colour impairment with your vision, ideally be able to work at height and be practically minded.

  • Where does this course lead to?

    Successful completion of the course enables the candidate to progress to the Level 3 Diploma or may be used towards the entry requirements of a Level 3 apprenticeship scheme.

  • What qualifications will be gained?

    Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations (Buildings and Structures) C&G2365-02

  • How will this course be delivered?

    The course is delivered via full time attendance of 3 days per week, plus work experience.

  • How will I be assessed?

    All units will either be internally assessed throughout the course via completion of practical tasks and written assessments. Assessment is also via C&G E-volve online exams.
