The aim of this course is to give students practical skills and vital underpinning knowledge in the care of animals and the environment. The course is aimed at individuals with a keen interest in the land-based sector and a desire to develop transferable skills to further progression and career ambitions.
You will become involved in all aspects of running a small animal enterprise working with horses and farm animals, carry out a range of horticultural tasks at a local park and also work alongside Forest Rangers at a variety of nature reserves.
No formal entry criteria, however prior study at level 1 is recommended. Completion of an initial assessment is required to establish suitability for the course.

Diploma in Work Preparation for Land Based Studies
1 day a week in college and 3 days practical.
