Award winning novelist visits Kidderminster College… 15th November 2016

British award winning novelist David Massey paid a visit to the college last week, working with two groups of GCSE English learners to explore creative story writing, including advanced planning, structuring a story and character/plot development.

David also gave an overview of his experiences of getting his two award winning novels ‘Taken’ and ‘Torn’ published and the process of writing and editing.

We had some excellent feedback from learners, including:

The visit is a result of cross-college collaboration between the LRC and the English department and will culminate in a creative writing competition.
