Media student shadows talkSPORT commentators… 26th January 2018

Callum Barker, a Level 3 Media student attended a shadowing day at West Bromwich Albion, with some football commentators working for talkSPORT, the world’s biggest sports radio station.

Callum, studying the Level 3 Creative Digital Media Production course, used his own skill and connections from his part-time job at the West Bromwich Albion retail store at Merry Hill, to organise a media networking day shadowing talkSPORT football commentators, Nigel Pearson and Ian Danter.

Callum attended the Premier League match between West Bromwich Albion and Brighton and Hove Albion at The Hawthorns and captured photos of his experience. Callum’s duties on the day involved being present at the press conferences, preparations prior to the game’s broadcast and skills development during the broadcast of the game.

If you have a passion for creating media content, whether it’s short film, television, animation or radio, applications for our Level 3 and new Level 2 course can be completed on-line…
