Landmarks throughout Kidderminster will be opening their doors to the public on Saturday 9th September for those wanting to find out more about some of the rich history in Kidderminster as part of National Heritage Weekend.

Kidderminster College students and local history groups will be staging exhibitions on Saturday. The Town Hall will offer visitors the opportunity to sit and imagine times past in the Victorian council chamber, The King Charles Room, Mayor’s Parlour, court room and music room which features its famous 1855 organ.

The exhibitions will run from 104pm and will feature songs and poems inspired by Kidderminster’s carpet industry.
