The electrical installation industry is an evolving, progressive area with a high demand for qualified and passionate people, with skills and knowledge of the latest developments in this expanding sector of the construction environment.
The programme has been designed to develop a range of high level skills and a good knowledge of the electrotechnical industry. The course helps the candidate to prepare to work safely within the electrical installation trade using modern tools and equipment, it also introduces basic electrical principles, installation and testing techniques and communication across the industry. Candidates will have the opportunity to construct and test electrical circuits covering a range of domestic, commercial and light industrial installations.

The course is delivered via part time attendance of two evenings per week, Tuesday & Thursday 18.00-21.00
Industry trained tutors provide both practical and theoretical study sessions using a blend of teaching and learning techniques.
All units will either be internally assessed throughout the course via completion of practical tasks and written assessments. Assessment is also via City & Guilds E-volve online exams.

On successful completion this qualification will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge to further progress your learning within the electrical industry, such as the Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations or an Electrotechnical Apprenticeship.
