Hair and Beauty learners win through to National Awards 28/02/2017

Hair and Beauty students from Kidderminster College recently took part in the AHT (Association of Hairdressers & Therapies) Midlands competition, competing against all colleges in the midlands area at North Warwickshire and Hinckley College. We had four winning learners at the event, showcasing the high standards of their work.

Level 1 student, Tammy Fidoe took second place in the first year blow dry, Megan Small and Eleza Thomas, Level 3 hairdressing learners took 2nd and 3rd place in the fantasy look category. And Lana Oliver, a Level 2 Media hair and Make up learner, took third place in nail art.

The winning learners received certificates and have all qualified to compete in the National event being held in Blackpool on the 13th March 2017 at the Winter Gardens.

Catherine Williams, Programme Leader at Kidderminster College said, “We are very proud to be qualifying for the National awards for the third year in a row. The standard of the learners’ work and motivation this year has been exceptionally high. I am very proud of the learners and how much effort and commitment they put into their course. We are now preparing for a good result at Blackpool.”
