Yesterday, Kidderminster College played host to the prestigious WorldSkills UK hair and beauty heats! Known as the ‘Skills Olympics’ the competition heats did not disappoint! The day brought together a huge array of talent, creativity and body paint!
With colleges from all across the UK in attendance, and with over 7 different heats, Kidderminster College was packed to the rafters for most of the day. Make-up kits, busy stations and the constant sound of hair scissors and body spray paint provided the perfect atmosphere inside #TeamKC’s professional salon, Elements, for this reputable competition.
The concentration during the heat sessions of the day was palpable and an amazing reflection on the professional nature, care and skill all competitors exuded during the long, exciting day.
Showcasing some of the best talent in the country, the Kidderminster College WorldSkills UK heats were a shining example of the upcoming talent the Hair and Beauty industry have coming up through the ranks. The passion and skill shown by all of the contestants is a testament to their tutors and the opportunities their colleges and further education establishments provide.
